本文首先討論目前政治學對時間因素的忽視，並說明時間和空間對政治分析的意義，接著指出，在目前這種政治學的時間觀中，人們在看歷史的時候，容易接受斷代史觀，而且所採行的斷代方式，往往與現實政治中當權人物斷代的需要相互配合。本文根據孕婦生產、母系社會、女性化角色、職業婦女和傳宗接代這五種生活經驗，例舉了當代政治學最不熟悉的若干種時間意識，來說明政治學分析的侷限性。

This paper criticizes political science for its rigid, though implicit, subscription to linear temporality when analyzing political events. After listing five possible alternative temporal concepts from women’s life experiences, the paper questions the customary periodization in the study of politics.
